Children and families affected by conflict in Ukraine need your support.
Millions of people have been driven from their homes and hundreds of thousands have already arrived in neighbouring countries. Children and young people are particularly suffering from the devastating consequences of the war. The plight of the children affected is growing by the hour. The war is leaving deep, often invisible wounds in the mental health of children and young people, who urgently need a sense of safety and security. More than 5 million children in Ukraine are affected by disruptions to their education – an entire generation.
Girls and women are often the hardest hit in crises. War reinforces harmful gender stereotypes, increases the burden of care for women and girls, and has led to an alarming rise in gender-based violence.
Plan International works with authorities and organisations in Poland, Romania and Moldova to support children, young people and their families. We provide emergency aid, child protection, psychological care and psychosocial support, distribute cash and vouchers, and run education and advocacy programmes. We also focus specifically on the needs of girls and women. With your help, we can expand our emergency aid measures to help more children and their families.
❤ Donate today to ensure that vital aid reaches those in need.
*With a regular donation to our emergency fund, you will help ensure that our teams can continue to respond quickly and effectively in crisis situations such as natural disasters or conflicts and provide life-saving assistance. All donations received that exceed the needs of a specific emergency situation will be held in reserve so that we can respond to future humanitarian emergencies. We thank you for your generosity.
