Emergency Aid for Gaza

Plan International Schweiz

Trucks with emergency parcels leave a warehouse in the North of Egypt.

After months during which humanitarian aid was blocked in Gaza, a short but crucial window is now opening: A relief convoy will be permitted to bring food into Gaza!

Plan International, together with partner organisations, is preparing more than 50 trucks with over 45,000 food parcels. Each parcel contains tinned beans, tuna, chickpeas, salty biscuits, date biscuits, bread, corn, sardines, rice, pasta, flour, cheese, grains, broad beans, salt, sugar, yeast, tomatoes, cooking oil and apricots.

One truck contains 832 food parcels. That is enough food for around 4,160 people for five days. Your support can now enable life‑saving aid. Every amount helps.

Since August 2025, thanks to your support and that of our partners in Gaza and the region, we have:

  • reached over 252,000 people with life‑saving aid
  • provided food aid to more than 160,000 people
  • supported 45,000 individuals with clean water and hygiene kits
  • delivered essential health services to over 6,000 people
  • offered psychosocial care and mental health support to more than 8,500 children
  • created safe learning spaces for children and trained teachers to use creative methods in learning and trauma coping
  • delivered 122,000 litres of clean water in September alone

The UN have warned that one out of every three people has not eaten for days, and eight in every 10 people who have reportedly died from starvation are children. According to a new report from the UN-backed Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) published on Friday, 22 August, famine has taken hold in Gaza. In conditions of famine, children die first, and it is an agonising death.

For everyone watching the horror unfold, now is the time you can support – your donation will save lives. ‭❤️

*With a regular donation to our emergency fund, you will help ensure that our teams can continue to respond quickly and effectively in crisis situations such as natural disasters or conflicts and provide life-saving assistance.
